That would be really cute for cassettes - they could be all different bright colors (very 80's!) Yes, I've done cookies without cutters in very simple shapes - for the shields, I used a paper template and cut around it with a knife. I think rectangles would work for cassettes, that would be very easy. The cookies did look great even though they bled, but the second batch was truly awesome!<br /><br />I may be doing a weekly bake myself for John's graduate class. Last Wednesday they got the remainder of the muffins and quickbread that I had made for a friend's goodbye brunch.
